What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

For my five day weekend I will be staying in town instead of going to Iowa like normal. The Dowlings invited us to come and have dinner with them. So now I am staying in town and am going to get a bow and arrow for hunting. All of these weekdays I don't have planned out but I am guessing that I will go over to friends and maybe go deer hunting. This last weekend marked the end of rifle season and this weekend will be antlerless deer hunting so I may go up to Missouri for a weekend. I got my first deer this weekend and it was my dads first time hunting so I had to teach him all I knew and that was interesting. I'm happy to say that I am hooked in this hobby and will be hunting more often.

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

I honestly think that the score I received is unfair because Boushka over here had about 100 pictures going at one frame a second while mine was well over 300 pictures with multiple different settings and ideas involved. I would probably do the exact same thing but I think it is also unfair that our teacher skimmed over everyone for about thirty seconds then moved on. All this effort was valued in little time which was in my opinion a poor way to grade. My time management was fine and I thought the pictures all had even amounts of light throughout. Also my pictures were taken partially on the move to make a better effect on the outcome and were not very jumpy for the extent that I used them but I guess that is not what the rubric states. I guess if I were to change something it would be to include more "stationary" shots and to tell a story.

Tell me about your weekend.

This weekend on Friday night I went to see the movie Interstellar with one of my friends who goes to Rockhurst and a few other people. It had a pretty good story behind it and everything came together at the end. Although there were some plot holes and the movie was about three hours long. Then Saturday I slept in not realizing what time it was because it was dark outside and I looked at my phone and it was 12:15. Then some of my friends called and we played PC for an hour or so. Then I rearranged all my furniture. On Sunday I went to the Chiefs game and it was very well. Seeing Jamal Charles play against the Seattle defense he killed it. Also Lynch was bigger then I thought and just trucked through tons of D linemen. He was huge but not very fast and it was close until the lat minute when Chiefs stopped the final drive.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop motion animation is the ability to make a video out of tons of pictures that have little movement in between. It is a form of animation that requires lots of time and effort to make the objects look smooth and have the transitions look smooth. The final project can be good and these types of movies tend to have higher amounts of respect considering the effort to make them.

5 Frame Storyboard

Tell me about your idea for your 5 frame story board. What is the plot? How do you plan to make the story creative? Who's the main character? What is the beginning, middle and end? Tell me about your plan of attack. 

For my five frame story board it is about Ryan Peterson and eating a banana for lunch. The plot is he wants to eat the banana but it falls on the floor and he can't eat it. My story is creative because I don't think anyone else would come up with this idea. The beginning is Ryan looks into his lunchbox and searches for some food. He finds his only source, a banana. So he takes it out of the peel and accidentally drops it on the floor! now his life is over and that's the end.

Yesterday you edited and uploaded photos to your blog. Tell me more about your photos. HOW did you edit them? Why did you choose the photos that you did? Explain your assignment.

My photos are mainly created off of natural things to show the true beauty of nature. I edited them through Photoshop and adjusted the sharpness and brightness of the photos. I chose my photos based off of the most creative and best quality of the balance between colors. Our assignment was to take photos of certain objects and choose specific ones we want to Photoshop.

Tell me about your weekend - details please!

This Friday I partied hard with my candy and soda Woot Woot! Then Saturday I slept in because why not and hung out with some friends, yes I have friends. And then yesterday I rearranged my room to put a desk with a computer in it. So yes, I had a pretty good weekend.

What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

I know to take high quality pictures you need a nice camera which tends to cost a lot of money. I know their is software like Photoshop to create or refine pictures in need. I take photos when I need to remember something or I need  to take a photo of somebody. You take a camera and press the magic button. I don not normally post pictures to social media unless its a special occasion. You can use special software to edit them. I don't have  any knowledge about taking photos. I do enjoy it.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!

This weekend my parents left and my grandparents came to look after me and my brothers. On Saturday I had to wake up to play four lacrosse games with a team we just stacked together. Overall we did pretty good considering we played with the JV high school teams for West and others. At one point our team of mostly freshman was catching up they had to put in some varsity players. Because we are a first time team everyone else played their best to make sure they didn't get beat. Then Sunday I went to Ikea and looked for a desk I was going to put in my room.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I'm kind of on the edge of this idea because it is true that their are certain times and places for certain attire but also you shouldn't wear anything inappropriate to school. I believe students have the choice to wear what they want to and if they get in trouble I guess it is their fault. If the students are the ones not following this rule and don;t get caught or informed not wear this clothing then I guess it could sometimes be ok.

The perfect curriculum would be decided from you parents or your choice at the beginning of middle school. The perfect curriculum would have any classes available for any specific job or career you would like in the future. The titles of the classes would be narrowed down to certain types of careers and the general idea within the career. i would study to become a petroleum engineer or anesthesiologist because they make tons of money. I would spend my time in class paying attention to become the best of my ability. They would be focused around the students and not the class as a whole.

I agree that girls should be able to wear whatever they want except if they're wearing something to disturbing then it shouldn't be allowed. Their shouldn't be a rule to prevent the teachers should enforce if needed. Already the rule is in place but some people do bad things anyways and get away with it. They need teachers and other adults to monitor instead of coming up with rules I guess.

This weekend I went to Iowa and watched the Iowa game they lost to ISU. A few of my friends went with me and my brother to this game. Then we stayed at my grandmas and pretty much hung out when we weren't tailgating. Otherwise this weekend was pretty bland from anyone else's perspective.

Over the weekend I built a computer from scratch while it was my dads birthday Saturday and my parents went to the Nascar Race yesterday so I had to say home and watch my little brother. I live in a town the is right next to Prairie Star Middle School. It is split off into a normal subdivision and then the other half are mansions and this one guy owns a black Ferrari. I like how Kansas City is a smaller city then most major cities and has two sports stadiums for professionals right next to each other. Non of my favorite sports teams are in Kansas City so.

What is an infographic? If you don't know, go look it up. Read about it and then in your own words tell me what an infographic is. What do infographics do? How do they work? What makes a really good infographic?

Information formatted in a way that is creative and filled with color and imagination. Usually formatted up and down in a longer fashion then side to side. Created using ideas and turning the concept to a simpler form to read. They display information in a similar way to an essay but keep the reader involved because it's fun to create all the colors and artsiness(Real word).  A really good infographic takes the topic and splits it up evenly so you can read every question at any point.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

My homecoming weekend was very crazy. First I woke up on Saturday and went downstairs and made some pancakes. Then I worked on my computer with Garin and we were pretty successful. Then we went to homecoming dinner and saw Andriana Egozi @ dinner!!! We were so pumped it was crazy. The dance was kind of expensive but the after party was worth it. We swam for forever. Yesterday I went desk shopping and wasn't very successful.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

I really don't know what our school would need to improve on to become a better place for students. The changes needed at our school would be probably including more of our technology to be used in school. I feel like more things need to be sanitized like keyboards and mice because they're nasty. Also cleaning the lunch tables within lunch because they are nasty. I'd also make bathrooms nicer considering nobody uses them unless it is an emergency.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

My favorite apps have to be social media apps because I don't use any others. My phone does not have a very good app store so I only use the generic social media apps. Most of the time when I get on my phone I go to Twitter, check Snap chat, or go to YouTube. Pretty much my phone stinks and is only good for texting and calling which is not worth it for this phone.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

Email is the old way of sending organized messages to another person usually for you job or work. I use email in my own personal life when I signed up for a website or have order something only and am waiting for it to ship, then it will tell me the ETA. People use email for work to confirm and tell when conferences are whilst some people from out of the country use it as a free way of communication. I don't know anything about email etiquette and I know you need it for the business world.

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

I honestly think that this class is kind of fun and the room for some reason smells bad, maybe its just me or the senior hall. Some things like Google drive come in handy but everything else is kind of useless because their are multiple web tools like them. They only type of thing I could end up using in the future is Evernote could be useful but by the time I need it something bigger and better will have been created. Throughout high school Evernote will be helpful if I remember how to install the little elephant icon and hopefully more advanced web tools like Evernote will be available in college.

Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

Honestly I hate writing especially when I'm forced to do it, who wants to write for fun like do you even have a life outside of school? I only enjoy writing when I'm basically out of it and can write whatever nonsense I want. I enjoy pretty much I guess any type of writing as long as I can be creative. The ability to write is so important because for jobs of the future we need to be able to comprehend multiple different styles and be able to understand what the author or messenger wants us to know. Like today I hate writing essays that are repetitive and follow some sort of scheme. I want to be able to write whatever I want and however I want.

Any test that I haven't prepared for has failure eminent. Most likely throughout my middle school history I haven't prepared for a test probably once a semester but ended up doing well. Somehow I manage to do well on things I usually wouldn't do well in but in high school that's just no the case. From now on I have to study to get work done and be successful.

What is the importance of research? Why do you need to know how to research? What have you learned in high school about researching topics and finding quality resources? Have you had a helpful teacher that has taught you to research? Explain.

The important of research is that after making an observation you have to know what you're looking at. The only way to start a project is to have an idea of what you're going to do then look up ways to do it. You need to know how to research in order to find a topic or just background information on that topic. Also you don't want to take information that was created by somebody and then plagiarize it. Using online sources such as databases to find real information made by professionals and then posted on the web so others can learn. Our science and ELA teachers for middle school had taught us MLA format and how to cite any sources.

If I were living in my 80's and 70's I would beat the snot out of kids with my batacane, you know cause I'd be batman. Then I would flee to the batmobile which I had made out of a Lamborghini Aventador because face it I'll be rich. Then I will drive around and all the kids would be like, "Wow, Batman!" and I'll give them the aves (tweet, tweet). You know? My peacock, it is colorful and happy and his name will be snufalufagus. Then I will donate all of my money to the keep people rich and get rid of kids foundation, then retire in the worlds most expensive property. Thank You

Tell me about the global issue you selected. What do you already know about the issue? What are you looking forward to learning about it? Explain. 

I selected gun control as my global issues topic. I selected it because I like to be involved in outdoor things such as hunting and I wanted to learn more about this topic. I know about all the "assault" weapons bans and I am aware of how they are reducing the magazine size in certain states. What I'm looking forward to learning about is the part of gun control about citizens having the right to bear arms and gun related accidents that happen because of untrained children. States are becoming more and more tightened up on gun laws taking up upon what the laws are already in California.

What did you do this weekend? Share pictures if you have them!

Saturday I went over the Jack Behrndts house and kept him company because he tore his ACL so basically I sat around and played Fappy golf all day and snacked on snacks. Sunday I slept in because I stayed up until 1 a.m. I'm pretty proud of staying up past my bedtime. Then I went to lacrosse in my moms minivan! It was fun! When I got there (Blue Valleys football field) our blue valley lacrosse team practiced. Then I went home and slept.
